Jerry Wanek was born in Manitowoc, WI and studied Fine Arts at the University of Winsconsin-Madison.

He has been nominated for an Emmy Award on the mini-series The Adromeda Strain produced by Ridley Scott.

He has also been nominated four times by the Art Directors Guild including his design for Dark Angel produced and directed by James Cameron.

He also designed the pilot for Lost in Space produced by Terence Chang and directed by John Woo.

He is currently the production designer for Supernatural in it’s 15th and final season where he is also an active producer and director.
